Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi (جلال الدین رومی)
The
message which Allah Almighty conveyed to the world in the form of Holy Qur'an
through the Holy Prophet (PBUH) for the welfare of human beings, was followed
by the pious servants and also preached it to show the straight path to others.
Teaching was also a means of preaching.
The
teacher was teaching his students by the side of a pool when an old man came
walking towards him. What am I?”
The
teacher gently replied: "Hazrat! There is something in this handwritten
book that you do not know.
The
elder said: "Show me." Then he took the book in his hand and threw it
in the pool full of water.
The
teacher became upset.
The
elder said: "Why are you crying, stop.
Saying this, he put his hand in the pool and took out the book and handed it to the teacher. The book was as dry as before.
The
teacher was astonished and asked: "Hazrat, what is this?"
The elder said: "Mian! This is what you do not know."
When
the senses were restored, they ran after him and clung to him.
